We are amid a courageous two-year generosity initiative for the future of Christ Community Church. To follow God’s vision for our church, we are directing all generosity toward one fund. Our annual budgets (2024 & 2025) and three strategic investments to set us up for a generation of community impact.

The next generation is watching. Children learn a faithful and generous life by watching their parents and grandparents. This campaign is a moment for you to deepen your relationship with God and show the next generation the faithfulness of God.

There is no organization in the world with the power and potential of the local church. After years of health and stability God is inviting us to step forward as a church. This campaign is designed to bring Christ Community into a new season of ministry and mission, one where everyone knows and uses their gifts for God’s glory.

For Our Neighbors

We are stepping forward for our neighbors

Jesus sent the church into the world with a clear mission, “Go and make disciples.” Over the last few years God has opened doors in our community and around the world for Christ Community to share the gospel. This campaign will move people and resources outside the walls of our church and into the lives of our neighbors.

  • Actively Negotiating Properties
  • Opened Counseling Center & Started a Lemont Coalition on Youth Wellness

Strategic Ministry Investment

  • Created a counseling suite
  • Kenya Partnership
  • Developed the Next Steps Ministry
  • Created 5-year strategy for campus and building maintenance and improvment

Debt Reduction

$350,000 Pledge

  • A check was sent in January 2025

$3.5 million committed  (initial goal was $3 million)  Jump Start – $334,734 (Dec 2023)

100% of the annual 2024 & 2025 budget and debt reduction was met 

93% of our campaign goal has been met

Meet God at this defining moment. Pray for our most significant needs:  small group leaders, worship leaders, patience, wisdom, a “blessed” location,  Greater Goods Mission Center experiments, communication, and ongoing generosity.

here are so many ways to grow in your generosity. Start by discovering God’s heart by studying these verses about giving. Then, read about Christ Community’s vision in 2025 and how you can join in. Lastly, surround yourself with generous people every Sunday in worship or by joining a small group.

Transformation takes time! We have challenged every member of our community to prayerfully make a commitment that stretches their faith. If you missed the Defining Moment’s kickoff, you can still join! (See commitment card.) If you’ve already made the commitment, let each week’s offering be a moment when you remember to trust God, asking him to change your family, your church and your neighbors.

Harry and Joan have been part of Christ Community since the beginning. They have been part of many past defining moments and are excited about what will come.

Marciana has gone from community member to church leader. Christ Community connected her to a deep faith, which is impacting her, her family, and students throughout our youth ministry.
