At JAMmers, we welcome the children to a play-centered environment with toys that help them through a variety of developmental stages. They move on to circle time to hear a story from the God Loves Me Storybooks for preschoolers. The story is told in simple language that children can understand with delightful illustrations that reinforce the story.

Songs, instruments, or action rhymes encourage participation in the morning activities. Table time includes small crafts and a snack. The children are then able to play in the area of their choice for the rest of the morning. Throughout all of these activities, we strive to help each child see that God loves them and to build a priceless foundation for their faith.

Kids and Worship is an extension of our Children and Worship program.  This center is designed to strengthen children's understanding of Jesus and His teachings.  Using stories from the gospel of Mark, children learn about the Kingdom of God and what it means to be a desciple of Christ.  The children journal their thoughts and wondering questions, as well as "talk to God" by using their prayer boxes.  Children will discover God at their own development level and understand corporate worship in a kid friendly environment.

Kids ROCK is a wonderful way to make worship more accessible for children and demonstrate that our community supports the presence of our youth in worship and values the gifts they offer to praise God. It is also a great way to deepen faith foundations as Biblical truths are planted deep in hearts and minds through music, drama, art, and movement.

We also include activities that develop our skills in the various arts. For music we use singing, rhythm activities, playing percussion instruments and ringing chimes to increase our skills. We also provide many creative experiences in art, movement, and drama.

Each year we focus on the elements of worship and seasons of the church year. We try to participate in each part of the worship service offering music, drama, movement, and art as gifts to God in worship. Kids ROCK participants also prepare a musical drama that we present on a Sunday morning in worship. This is known as our annual Scripture-in-Song service. For many children and youth this is a highlight of the year!
