Forgiveness

If you broke your leg you would quickly go to a hospital, see a doctor and allow them to treat your injury. If you didn’t the pain wouldn’t go away and you would spend the rest of your life with a limp. So why is it that when we experience emotional pain (rejection, loss, separation, betrayal) that we believe the best thing we can do is to deny it. The second step on the forgiving path is naming the hurt.
